New Talk/Show Conversation Club

The Konrad Lorenz Language Institute invites you to be a part of an uncanny communicative experience meant to take your English listening and speaking skills to the next level. The Talk/Show Conversation Club is a space to practice and reinforce your conversational English as well as your critical thinking competences such as conceptualizing, analyzing, evaluating, problem solving and synthesizing. Interested yet? Keep reading, it gets better!

The Club will go through cycles of discussion-mingle activities (Talk) and presentation-demonstration activities (Show). Each cycle will be open to students, alumni, professors, and administrative staff of the university. The strategy is to get you to come and participate. Because let’s face it, you had a better level before -when you practiced more often. Right? So don’t be shy, come with us and take your English up again. How does it work? Don’t stop, just jump to the next paragraph!

Each discussion-mingle session will have a topic and a methodology that will be shared with incumbents in advance, and that will help them anticipate and prepare their participation. Wait, what’s an incumbent? Is that the kind of words we will use at The Club? Yeah! Cool, right? For each presentation-demonstration session one of the participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, talents, skills and expertise in a small 10-15 min. presentation, followed by questions, comments and a get together. All sessions will be BYO, so Google that and surprise us! 😉

Professor Bibiana Martínez, Philologist, MBA, and English teacher extraordinaire will be hosting the sessions. She’ll be waiting for you so show up and give yourself the opportunity to boost your English and meet other English enthusiasts. See you there!
